Description
THE FIRST ATTEMPT AT FORMULATING UNIVERSAL LAWS
Metamorphosing Energy
THE DECALOGUE (TEN COMMANDMENTS)
Exodus 20: 3-17
EXEGESIS
We might regard the Decalogue as the first attempt to define the Universal Laws, which assure a life of happiness in the phenomenal reality.
This is NOT a religious document, but an inspired search for Secular Ethics.
Moses faced the same problem, as had later prophets, and even YeshΓ»a (Jesus), in attempting to instill in his people the need to accept responsibility for their actions.
He also wanted to liberate them from the Egyptian pantheon of some 2000 deities.
He insisted they serve only the power referred to as I AM.
